Goal Setting & Cultivate What Matters
Do you set goals for the year at the beginning of the year or reflect on your year at the end of the year? I have never taken goal setting seriously because I never stick to it. But this year, I decided to give it a try, a real try, a hard TRY and Cultivate What Matters 😉
After a whole day of reading the website, the PowerSheets group on Facebook, looking up different types of goal planning notebooks, and watching Youtube videos, I decided to give it a try! Not before waiting until the veryyy last minute to make up my mind to place the order 30min before their New Year sale ended. (My indecisiveness and procrastination!)
Lara's (who started the PowerSheets) words about making progress no matter how small they are, doing things at your own pace, there's no perfect way to goal setting, you don't need perfect handwriting, etc really spoke to me. Also, this not being a daily journal/planner is really great for me, because I know I can't keep up with the daily entry for anything.
Since I placed the order on 1/1, I wasn’t able to really start the process for a few weeks. So I watched all the prep work videos before getting the PowerSheets because I just couldn't wait for it to arrive. Once I got mine (on 1/14), I wrote my name and worked on the pages while watching the videos again and looking up what others did in their pages and Lara's examples in her blogs. The first day I only wrote my name and spent the next 2 weeks (up to today) working a few pages a day. It sooo helpful to work on this at my own pace and not care about it being January or which day it is in the week.
And here is the word I chose for Word of the Year!
I chose GROW because I feel like there are so many areas in my life I can learn more, work on more, and grow. I want to grow Sticky Rice Sisters, grow my design skills, grow my strength, grow my garden, and many more.
Do you choose a Word of the Year to motivate you? What is your word? Let us know in the comments!

Let me know if you have any advice or tips on reaching my goals! Like growing a business, how to use procreate, networking tips, or goal setting in general. 😊
Have a wonderful day! ❤️🌱
