Cultural History of Floral Calaveras:
The calavera (or skull) is a decoration traditionally used during the Mexican celebrations for Dia De Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) and All Souls Day. Calaveras are usually made of sugar or clay and decorate the ofrendas (altars) honoring loved ones who have passes away. Dia De Los Muertos is celebrated on November 1-2.
